CEREC Same Day Crowns

CEREC SAME DAY CROWNS GILBERT

CEREC® is a new state-of-the-art method of reconstructing tooth restorations. CEREC® uses computer-assisted design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) to offer same day restorations for our patients in Gilbert. This new technology has revolutionized ceramic restorations such as crowns and veneers for patients so that there is no longer a wait between preparing the restoration and finally receiving the finished product. With CEREC®, the technology is used while you are sitting in the dental chair. The restorations created are metal-free and tooth colored to restore your tooth to its natural beauty, strength and function.

What are the advantages of  CEREC® ?

CEREC® can benefit almost anyone needing a ceramic restoration. Besides having your restoration delivered the same day, it also eliminates the need for messy dental impressions which can be a problem with patients with a gag reflex. CEREC® restorations are now proven to be just as strong as the ones fabricated at the dental laboratory. Recent research indicates that most CEREC®-created restorations last for more than 10 years.

Other advantages associated with CEREC® single day restorations include:

  • No temporary restorations
  • Elimination of Impressions
  • Reduced gag reflex
  • Same quality ceramic products as lab produced
  • Minimal invasiveness
  • Less injections and discomfort
  • Fewer dental visits
  • Long lasting restorations
  • Same Day Crowns

What does a CEREC® restoration procedure involve?

Following administration of anesthesia  Dr. Mazaheri prepares the tooth for the restoration. Using the CEREC® Omnicam,  several images of the tooth is taken, sending a three-dimensional, colored model to the CEREC® machine.  These images are transposed onto the computer screen, where the  the tooth is viewed in 3D from every angle and the final restoration is designed.  Upon completion of the design it is  transmitted to the milling unit where your restoration is milled from a ceramic block. Custom characterization and staining is added and the restoration is fired in a high temperature oven to cure and maximize its strength.
