Laser Dentistry

A laser is a device that uses light energy to complete a certain task. We have incorporated Lasers in our treatments because they can target and treat diseased tissue while leaving surrounding healthy tissues unaffected, allowing us to perform very precise dental procedures.

Lasers seal off blood vessels during procedures reducing bleeding and postoperative discomfort. In many cases, due to their gentle and precise nature, lasers are used with little or no anesthetic and tissues treated heal much faster than if they were treated by a scalpel. A dental laser may be used to treat:

• Gum Infections

• Laser Teeth Whitening

• Soft Tissues Overgrowth

• Cold Sore and Canker Sore Treatment

• Frenum Release Between Teeth for Orthodontic Treatment

• Implant uncovering

• Root Canal Infections and Debridement

• And Much more

Dental Lasers are capable of killing the bacteria that cause gum disease and promote healing by increasing circulation and collagen formation at the base of the periodontal pockets. Dr. Mazaheri often incorporates laser treatment to treat periodontal disease and other conditions such as Laser Cold Sore Treatment.

If you have any questions regarding the use of Laser in dentistry, or you think you have periodontal disease that can benefit from laser treatment, please contact our Gilbert office to schedule a consultation with Dr. Mazaheri. We also offer laser cold sore treatment specials.
